Prayer for the Week

Our green-fingered God help us to take care of your world and our own gardens within us.

Kind hearts are the gardens,

Kind words are the roots,

Kind thoughts are the flowers,

Kind deeds are the fruits.

Take care of your garden

And keep out the weeds

Fill it with sunshine,

Kind words and kind deeds.    By H.W. Longfellow

Almighty Father, we honour and praise your name this day and thank you for your love and care for each of us, our families and friends. We are uplifted that you know us all so intimately and that our names are written on the palm of your hand.

As we gaze in wonder and awe at the beauty of your creation, we give you thanks, honouring you, Father, for the abundance of life we see all around us. As the mysteries of nature unfold before us, we marvel at the promise of new life and rebirth.

We ask Lord, that you strengthen us during difficult times, putting our trust and faith in you when the way ahead is uncertain. We ask for your protection over us, those we love and all who find themselves in stressful or life-threatening situations. Bring comfort to all who are suffering or in need of your help.

Lord, we ask for restoration for those who have wandered from faith or are yet to discover the joy of knowing you . May they hear your call and willingly respond. May our own knowledge of you increase each day as we draw closer to you and may we find peace in your presence.

Thank you, Father, that you are always faithful and never fail us. Keep us in faith, truth and love this and every day.

Dear God ,

Make peace in the world,

Make shelter for everyone.

Let everyone have a fair share of food and water

(Written by our Sunday School children)

Thank you God for yet another day. Help me to live in line with your Word. Show me who I can help today. Let this person feel your love though my actions. Let them experience your presence. My mind, ears, and eyes will stay open to receive your direction all the day long. Let me pass your blessing to another person today.

Help me to live in a way that pleases you. Give me wisdom in all that I do. Guide me in everything that I say. Give me strength to stand against temptation. Help me to put others before myself and to be considerate of their needs. Let your light shine through me for others to see.

O Lord, the helper of the helpless,
the hope of those who are past hope,
the savior of the tempest-tossed,
the harbor of the voyagers,
the physician of the sick.
You know each soul and our prayer,
each home and its need.
Become to each one of us
what we most dearly desire,
receiving us all into your kingdom,
making us children of the light.
Pour on us your peace and love,
O Lord our God.
