Prayers for the Week

prayer bible quote

Don’t forget that Morning Prayer is on Zoom on Mondays and Thursday at 9.00am.
It’s a great, prayerful way to start the day.  Why not follow the link from the weekly email or contact Maria for the details of how to join?

Things to pray for this week:
Pray for: politicians and world leaders to tackle climate change; refugees and displaced families in war torn areas; for children's holiday clubs and families on holiday at this time.

My Thank You Prayer

Dear Father God,

Thank you for giving us this lovely day,

for bringing up the sun and for spreading the misty dew we pray.

Thank you for the birds, Butterflies and  bees,

for flowers crops and trees.

Thank you for all the creatures in the oceans and seas,

for all the song birds, Eagles and hawks that fly on the breeze.

Thank you for every colour we see,

we know that you are on a painting spree.

Thank you for the fresh water we drink,

we also know that you created the food we eat in a blink.

Thank you for the good clothes we wear,

for hot weather, cold weather and fair.

Thank you for our family and friends, who are dear to us.

they keep us near without a fuss.

Thank you for the good roofs over our heads,

and for our good, comfy and sturdy beds.

Thank you for everything else we haven’t said,

Thank you for giving us life amongst your creation instead.

Amen

A Prayer for the Armed Forces
Almighty God, stretch forth your mighty arm to strengthen and protect the armed forces:
grant that meeting danger with courage and all occasions with discipline and loyalty,
they may truly serve the cause of justice and peace;
to the honour of your holy name,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer
After the 11am service, there will be an opportunity to ask for private prayers in the prayer space at the front of the north aisle. During coffee time, just make your way there and there will be someone who can sit and pray with you.

Prayer Corner
Please have a look at the prayer requests board and pray for people.  There are also prayer cards available for you to use or give away to others, please take one if you’d like too.  The books on the shelf in the prayer corner can be borrowed or taken if there is one you would like to read.
